Established in 1989, over 30 years of establishment and development, BenThanh Tourist has become one of the leading international travel companies in Vietnam. The subject has a closed and diversified business network system in terms of products, large in scale with many forms of business cooperation, capital contribution to create a variety of products and services such as domestic and international tour operator, organizing conferences - seminars - events combining tourism, travel transportation services, tourism office systems, hotels, restaurants, investment services, and commercial development, distribution agency... Its BTV shares were officially listed on UPCoM on January 4, 2017.
In 2020 and 2021, BenThanh Tourist's business segments were all negatively affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In particular, in 2021, the hotel room capacity only reached 15-20%; the rental price must be reduced, customers were late to pay, and foreign investment activities, mainly in the fields of hotels, travel, restaurants, etc. were all faced difficulties. The company had to make a financial provision for the loss-making units. Since April 2022, Vietnam's tourism industry gradually opened up with positive recovery prospects. Thereby, the subject had more opportunities and advantages to expand development in all 3 tourism segments: inbound, outbound and domestic, especially high-quality tours, transportation services, providing guides... BenThanh Tourist was ranked the 3rd position in the ranking of Top 10 prestigious travel companies and won the Golden Brand of Ho Chi Minh City in 2022.
In 2023, when the world economic situation still has many uncertainties, the subject set a cautious business plan with total revenue of VND 880 billion and profit after tax of VND 21 billion, up +10% Y/y and +13% Y/y, respectively.
