TRANSIMEX CORPORATION

Transimex is a long-standing company operating in the transportation and logistics field in Vietnam. It provides customers with comprehensive logistics solutions such as: 2PL (2nd Party Logistics services), 3PL (3rd Party Logistics services), contract logistics, and other related services in the logistics industry. The company is a member of prestigious associations in Vietnam and around the world such as International Air Transport Association (IATA), FIATA International Federation of Freight Forwarders Association, Vietnam Logistics Business Association (VLA), and other reputable organizations. Since 2000, its shares have been listed on Ho Chi Minh Stock Exchange (HOSE) with stock code “TMS”. 

In 2022, Transimex focused on developing green logistics, implementing projects (Thang Long logistics center, Vinh Loc logistics center, cold storage in Ben Luc District - Long An Province) and restructuring activities of Transimex Hi-Tech Logistics Corporation… The subject also set up a prudent business plan with net sales of VND 3,455 billion and net income of VND 432 billion, down by 46% and 30%, respectively compared to 2021. The appearance of geopolitical tensions posed a significant impact on the global supply chain. In this context, transportation and logistics were also affected when the market witnessed a decline in spot freight rate, shipping volume, and cargo throughput via ports. In addition, the demand for transportation and logistics services also decreased when retailer’s inventories stood at a high level and consumption power weakened. With business results recorded for the whole year, despite a drop in net sales, Transimex still exceeded planned targets. 

In 2023, with forecasts of a difficult economic situation, Transimex presented shareholders with a revenue target of more than VND 2,521 billion and pre-tax profit of more than VND 317 billion that year, down nearly 31% and 59% respectively compared to reality in 2022. Transimex's Board of Directors also set out several key activities for 2023. These include continuing to implement the sustainable logistics development strategy through green logistics development and perfecting the logistics service supply chain, expanding areas nationwide,... The company also implemented phase 2 investment of Thang Long logistics center, together with partners to accelerate the implementation progress of the Vinh Loc logistics center project, cold storage project in Ben Luc, Long An (capable of storing 56,000 pallet positions with an automatic retrieval and import system using the most advanced automatic robots according to European standards with a retrieval speed of up to 200 pallets/1 hour)...In addition, the company will negotiate and carry out work to divest the investment from Nippon Express (Vietnam) Joint Venture... In particular, in 2023, Transimex invested in purchasing a ship carrying container named Transimex Sun and a new container shell named Transimex. This is the first container ship and containers Transimex owns. With actual revenue reaching VND 2,403 billion and profit before tax reaching VND 214 billion, the company did not achieve the set plan.
