By the end of August, Viettel Construction has accomplished 63% of its revenue and profit targets set for 2024.
The Viettel Construction Joint Stock Corporation (Viettel Construction - Ticker: CTR) reported nearly VND 1,158 billion in revenue for August, reflecting a 13% increase year-over-year. Pre-tax profit amounted to over VND 59 billion, a modest 2% increase compared to August 2023.
Cumulatively, for the first eight months of 2024, Viettel Construction achieved VND 7,935 billion in revenue and nearly VND 423 billion in pre-tax profit, marking respective increases of 11% and 4% compared to the same period last year. This performance has allowed the company to meet 63% of its full-year revenue and profit targets.
Revenue breakdown
In terms of revenue structure, 63% of Viettel Construction's total revenue, equivalent to VND 4,999 billion, came from transactions with other units within the Viettel Group. Transactions with external partners contributed VND 2,936 billion.
Regarding geographical distribution, 82% of Viettel Construction’s revenue originated from the domestic market, amounting to VND 6,507 billion. Meanwhile, foreign markets contributed 18%, or VND 1,428 billion.
Sectoral performance
Revenue from the operations and exploitation sector continues to dominate, accounting for 49% of total revenue and recording a 6% increase over the same period last year, with nearly VND 3,931 billion in revenue.
The second-largest revenue contributor is the construction sector, representing 31% of total revenue, or over VND 2,495 billion, a 29% increase year-on-year. In the first eight months of this year, the company signed VND 1,665 billion worth of B2B contracts and VND 1,279 billion worth of B2C and SME contracts.
Other sectors, such as solutions and technical services, as well as leased infrastructure, generated VND 1,075 billion and VND 390 billion in revenue, respectively.
